Jackie Robinson, Sixty Years After

On April 14, 2007, the eve of the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking Major League Baseball's color barrier, WCBE 90.5-FM, central Ohio's most listened to NPR station, broadcast this retrospective on the life and legacy of the great baseball and civil rights pioneer.

This special radio program, written and produced by Enteje's Jack Marchbanks and Sidney Howard, remembered Robinson through the musings of Negro League players, among others, and the music of the "Jackie Robinson Years" (1947 to 1956). It received very favorable reviews from WCBE's audience.

If you missed this two-part special or want to listen again, hear it here.
